Hey everyone! It's Squashed Grape ;) (Btw, to all the amazing hoomans who joined from HPFF, this is SlytherPuff_Sal! Tysm for joining!) I'm rly sorry for today's post being a bit late, I was kinda busy.
Okay so, whoever doesn't know, I'm a HUGE fan of books. I think me and Avocado (script writer) are the only major bookworm-y people in our 'squad'.
There are a lot of books I like reading, but my fav series are the Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Divergent and Grishaverse series. As you can probably tell, I really like fantasy books. I also have a book wishlist that is currently 20 pages long. 😅
Since I really really like reading, I thought that I could do some book reviews. So how this works is, I basically review books! For that, I kind of need a starting list. So, these are the books I will start reviewing with:
A good girl's guide to murder:
I think this is a series, the other books are 'Good girl, bad blood' and 'As good as dead'. Those are definitely going to be the next books on my wishlist xD.
The blurb:
THE CASE IS CLOSED.
Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.
But having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final-year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?
Good girl, Bad blood:
Whoever took this photo is amazing. I know it's ink but it still looks really cool 😀
The blurb:
Somebody's missing. No one's talking. But this time, everyone is listening.
Pip Fitz-Amobi is not a detective anymore. Her true-crime podcast about the murder case she solved last year has gone viral. Yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to go back on her word when someone close to her goes missing and the police can't do anything about it. If they won't investigate, then Pip will, uncovering more of her town's dark secrets along the way. But will she find the answers before time runs out?
As good as dead:
I really like Holly Jackson's book covers, they're very...eye-catching I guess. This was a kinda recent book I think.
The blurb:
DEAD GIRL WALKING
Pip Fitz-Amobi is haunted by her last investigation. But soon a new case finds her and this time it's all about Pip.
She has a stalker, one who keeps asking: Who will look for you when you're the one who disappears?
Pip soon discovers a connection between her stalker and a local serial killer, but the police refuse to act. As the dangerous game plays out it's clear that if Pip doesn't find the answers, she's as good as dead.
The paper girl of Paris:
This book looks really interesting, I have a feeling it's to do with rooftops. Or maybe I'm just thinking about a book I read recently called Rooftoppers. I kinda think that this book is gonna be a lot like Rooftoppers.
The blurb:
NOW:
When sixteen-year-old Alice inherits an apartment in Paris that has been locked for over seventy years, she is determined to discover why its existence was hidden from her family for so long. However, the more time she spends digging through the mysteries of the past, the more she realizes there are secrets in the present that her family is still refusing to talk about.
THEN:
Ever since the Nazis invaded France, Adalyn has been determined to do something. When she meets Lue, the dashing and enigmatic leader of a resistance group, Adalyn feels she finally has a chance to fight back...even if it means risking her safety, her reputation, and her relationships with the people she loves most.
Although separated by generations, Alice's and Adalyn's fates are entwined in ways both heart-breaking and hopeful.
We were liars:
As you guys can probably tell, I like choosing uhm...let's just say interesting photos of books in places. Yeah.
The blurb:
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends – the Liars – whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.
Okay so next week I'll be back with a review for a good girl's guide to murder! If you guys have any books you want me to review, you can let me know in the comments or give me a private message. See you guys next week! Please like, comment, share and all that stuff. Byeeee <333
This is a great list of books, I can't wait to see your reviews!
